WELLINGTON, February 20.
Tlie deer-shooting season in the Nelson acclimatisation district wi]l commence on March 2 and end on April 29. In fc'ie Marlborougih district the season will be from February 24 to April 23. The conditions under which the Edward medal, a new honour instituted by Kinjr Edward, will be awarded for courage in saving or attempting to save life in mires or quarries are published in to-nigiht's Gazette.
