The annual meeting of tho Manawatu A. and P. Association wos held to-dn\, w hen the following weie elected as offieetifor tho ensuing jear: — President, Mr T. Arbon ; iice-presidents — Messrs W. T. Wood, M.P.. R. Lancaster, Short, T. and J. K. Harkncee ; treasurer. Mr J. M. Johnston : committee — Messrs Jacobs, Luxford, Wheeler, Buchanan, Pratt, Pringle, Aldwoith. Lang, Duncan, Jarvis, and Davis. The report and balance sheet were adopted, and a progressive procedure foi tho coming year discussed at some length. The retning president (Mr W. F. Jacobs) in his address spoke highly of the work done by tho committee in forwarding the work of the association, and urged that in the coming year tha membors should work hard indn ldually to increase the membership, v hich has during the past few years shown a slight falling ofF. He pointed out tint their receipts were not up to the mark, while the expenditure was slowly cieeping up, and the most satisfactory method to cope with this was to increase tho membership and also the donations. Reform^ to the new dairy school, he said they all hoped to see it established in Falineision and it would do much to increase the importance of the national dairy •show, which was already one of the mest important of its kind in New Zealand. The question of privilege was also discussed, and a recommendation made to the new com-mitt-ce for its consideration.
