ISSUE OF ANNUAL REPORT. (From Our Own Correspondent ) LONDON. January 10. On (lie 14ih in«t. the twenty-sixth annual general meeting 1 of Messrs Robert Campbell and Sons will be held at Wimhestcr Hou'c. The report, which has been i-^ued. «how=* the working of the business in New Zealand for the year ended the 30th June. 1907, and the position of the eompanj in London on 31<t December la^t.
The directors mention that last year'» clip of wool again realised satisfactory pi ices, and the value of lh'e stock in the Dominion having been maintained turther sales of surplus sheep were effected at good prices. As reported at the special meeting of shareholders hold la.=t July, sales of (lie two <=mall properties, Buscot and Burwood, have been made, and a contract enteied into for the sale to the New Zealand Go\ernment of the Otekaike station, with delnery in March next. The instalments of purchase money falling due in respect of pre\ious land sales have been duly paid, and the directors consider the company is amply secured for the balances otill outstanding.
After pro\idmg for interest on the debentures, the profit* earned during the year amounted to £2^.512 which, added to the "balanco of £22.240 brought forward from tho preceding year, makes a total sum of £48.752 to be dealt with. Out of this sum an interim dh idend of 3s per share, or 5 per cent, was paid in July last, and tho directors that a final dmdend of the same amount (making a total distribution of 10 per cent, for the jeai) be now paid free of tax, and that the balance of £30,752 be carried forward. The necessary «tcps are being taken to obtain the sanction of the court to the repayment of capital, in accordance with the special re°olution passed at >the special meetings held in July and August last.
