MORNINGTON SCHOOL FLOWER SHOW.
" The Mornington school children's third annual flower show vr&s held on Saturate? afternoon, and provided a veiy creditable display of flowers and garden produce. Th* exhibits were staged in the gynmiemm, «ai<i throughout the afternoon quite a large crowd! of people rilled the spacious hall. Despite the extremely dry weather which has been experienced during th« summer months th« exhibits were of a. very high order, this being especially noticeable in the vegetable section Mr A. Littlejohn was judge in this section, and had a very difficult task. The tubers were particularly fine, and a credit to their growers. Mr J. Rennie was judga of the flowers, which made a truly magnificent dia^y, and Misses Whinam «nd Oald«r judged the cookery exhibits, of which there were 13 The exhibits, except in classes 1, 2, and 3, beoame the property of the committee, and were sold a/t fair prices. The proceeds were in add of the school fund.
