FLOODS IN AMERICA.
NEW YORK, February 18. Floods at Pittsburg have temporarily thrown idle 20,000 workers.
Many of the inhabitants are taking refuge in the upper storeys of their houses. Police boat* are distributing food. The damage is estimated at two million dollars.
