There is a good demand for forward rape kmbs, and prices have advanced Gd or 9d on the week tb.i present value being 12s to 12s 3d. This is due to the stubble becoming available, tko«shl feed is still scarce. Fat ewes on Tuesdufl brought 12s to 13s 6d, and fat wethers have also firmed a trifle, 16s baing the local quotation for 601b weights. Values fcr new samples may be taken to-day at from 2s to 2s Id (less commission) on trucks. There was a good attendance of the local buyers, and the demand was sufficiently strong to ensure a fair clearance of our catalogue at market rates. Values ruled as under: — Oats. — The new season's crop is coming forward more freely, and the quality in nearly eveiy case is such as to I give the utmost) satisfaction to shippers and other buyers. Fair business has been done for immediate and forward delivery, but buyers find some difficulty in selling at a profit, and on tlfis account are not readily disposed to accept large lines at quotations.
