WELLINGTON. February 14. At the magistrate's Court to-day John Smith, a seaman, who had been boarding at Barne's Boarding-house, Wellington, was fined £10 and costs for sly grog-selling at the boarding-house. Notice of appeal was given. David Barrie and Mary Barrie were charged with being occupiers of premises in which illegal 6ales of liquor had taken place.
