XKW ZEALAND COAL AXD OIL COMPANY. The annual and popular excursion of th« New Zealand Coal and Oil Company's employees at Kaitangata took place on Saturday last, the destination this year being Outram. A spe-'ial train left Kaitangata on Saturday morning with over 1000 adults and childTer* on hoard On arriving at the grounds, alter lunch had been disposed of, the committee, with Mr W. Houston (president), Mr W. Baytan 'treasurer), and Mr J. R. Hunter (secretary) at its head, assisted by a few willing volunteers, soon set to work and disposed of a fair programme- of adult and children'^ events ii me short time at their disrcsa). A team from the K«itangata Bowling Club met three rinks of the Ouham Club in a frier-dly garrte, and went down by 3 pou.tp, Outrain -scoring 37 and Kaitangata 33. The party arrived home about 710 pm.
