SOUTHLAND FREEZING WORKERS' UNION.

The Southland Freezing Workers' Union has adopted the agreement come to between the delegates from that body and the representatives of the freezing companies in conference recently. The new agreement provides for an increase of wages to Is 3d pjr hour for ordinary time and Is 5d for overtime, with double time on Christmas Day and' Good Friday, time and a-half on Sundays, Easter Monday, the Prince of Wales's Birthday, the Sovereign's Birth day, Labour Day, Regatta Day, and Anniversary Day. Preference to unionists is given.
