PRESENTATION TO MR C. J. HODGF.

The children of the Albany Street School, together with a number of the parents in the district, assembled in the Gymnasium Hall on the lth inst. to witness presentations to Mr O. J. Hodge, head master - of the school, and Mrs Hodge on the occa- - sion of the former severing his connection " with the school prior to his departure for the North Island, where he intends to reside. Mr J. H. Wilkinson, chairman of . the . school committee, presided, and several other members of the committee were also present. ,_, . . - _ " The presentation to Mr Hodge consisted of a gentleman's dressing-ease and portmanteau combined, with the following inscription: "To O. J. Hodge. Esq., from teachers, pupils, and committee of the Albany Street School. February 7, 1908. Mrs Hodse was presented with a beautiful silver belt, with her initials suitably inscribed upon it.
