CANADA'S MEAT TRADE.
ADVICE TO STOCK-RAISERS. OTTAWA, February 9. The Hon. S. A. Fisher, Canadian Minister of Agriculture, addressing a meeting of stock-raisers at Ottawa, said he did not favour the provision of cold storage facilities at Liverpool. He was convinced that Canada was not In a position to conduct a meat trade with Great Britain, inasmuch as there were not sufficient cattle in Canada to main tain a steady supply.
