RAILWAY, FATALITY.
MAN RUN OVER. i c TCANGANUI, January 31. . A fatal accident occurred at Gonville : last evening on the Castlecliffe branch line . railway, Andrew Bogle being run over by the train and cut to pieces. The train was approaching the Gonville etatton, when the enginedriver noticed an object on the ' line a few yards in front of the engine. He immediately applied the brakes, bat : the train passed over the object before it i was brought" to -a standstill. One arm and a leg were severed, and the body; horribly mangled. The victim was within a few ' yards of his home, and evidently did not hear or see the approaching- train.
