SAN FRANCISCO. January 31
Oases of plague are still discovered in' widely-separated districts of San Fran. cisco. The number of diseased rats ia increasing, and the physicians predict a> terrible outbreak in the spring.
BRISBANE, February 3.
PHgue rats have been discovered on the Mulgrave plantation, 20 miles from Cairns. The cook on the station died this week.
