Owing tc the harvest operations claiming attefition,- farmers are not yet offering tbehr grain in any appreciable quantity. Sales of wheat have taien place, however, at 4s 3d. per bushel, but only in small "lines. Oats have been sold, good duns and G-artona up to 2s 3d, 'and inferior at 2s. A fair quantity of lyegrass seed haa been placed on the market, which has a, weaker tendency at 2s 9d) to 3s a bushel, but clear lines aTe worth 3s 3d to 3s 6d. Chaff is dull of sale at 60a per ton for oatsheaf, that being the normal price. 1 The supply of clover seed is likely to be short and 'those holding last stocks will probably obtain good prices.
