LONDON, January 7. !■" Mr Joshua Lake, of Melbourne, has arranged for a loan-art exhibition for Australia, and has sailed with 400 paintings (occupying 600 ft of line space) by 218 artists, including the presidents of the Royal Academy and eight royal societies" ! and many other well-known painters. He has also 400 miniatures and etchings and miscellaneous works, the total value of which is £50,000. He has, too, the loan of 20 pictures to the- value of £8000, representing the work of leading artist 6. I
