DURBAN, December 30. The" chief Silwane has convinced the Government of Natal that he. refused the overtures of the Zulus "to organise a revolt. He is personally willing to surrender, if it is desired that Ke should do so, and has admitted that his young bloods have got out* oL. hand. December- 31. . Mr Nathan will tour Zululand and meet the principal chiefs. c m January 4. Mr Nathan, who was to have toured Zululand to confer with the chiefs, has postponed his visit. The police patrol surprised a small party of rebel Zulus in some . caves at the junction of the Black and the. White Unolvi Rivers. Two of -the rebels were killed, but the rest made their escape, leaving their rifles and bandoliers. January 5. Military operations have been suspended in Zululand.
