GORE v. DUNEDIN.

Five rinks from Gore arrived in the city by the first express on the 2nd to try conclusions vith the Dunedin Club. This is "the second occasion on which the Gore players have made the journey, and they are yfery desirous that the Dunedin players should return their visit. The weather proved favourable, the strong wind of the morning having died down somewhat. The green was in capital order, and despite the bare appearance of the ends pla-yed very true. The visitors started off with a atrong lead, but the local players overhauled them, and, thanks to the great advantage gained in two rinks, won by an advantage of 21 points. After play had concluded Mr W. Austin, in the absence of the president, spoke briefly, commending the play of the visitors and their enterprise in visiting the city.. Mr Bust briefly replied for the visitors, and expressed a strong wish that their visit would be returned. Players and scores: — H. A. Ross, J. Thomson, W. M. Hogg, W. Dall (s) 1» — A Rawlinson, A.
