VALEDICTORY.

Airs. H. C. E. Stable, who has taken considerable interest in the Girls’ Club, was entertained by members at the Druids’ Hall on Wednesday night, when it most successful and enjoyable time was spent. During the evening Aiiss Booth spoke highly of Mrs. Stable, referred to the assistance she had so willingly given at all times, regretted her departure, but at the same time wished her every pwssiblg happiness. Aiiss Beatrice Keall and Miss Joan Lowry also spoke, and on behalf of the girls, presented Airs. Stable with a lovely photo-album. Applause followed. after which Airs. Stable suitably replied. Community singing, dancing, and supper added to the enjoyment l of tlie evening, while interesting competitions were won by Aiiss Ella Cole and | Aiiss Alaisie Cole. 1 Air. and Airs. Stable will leave in tlie course of a week or so to take up , residence in Wellington.
