CAUSE OP MANY COMPLAINTS. Health authorities throughout the country blame shoddy and ill-fitting boots for bronchitis, neuralgia, pneumonia, kidney troubles, neurasthenia, sciatica, and consumption. An expert at Bury (England) declared that 30 per cent of the illnesses among children and 20 per cent of those suffered by adults were due to bad boots. At Plymouth 50 per cent, of the illness was attributable to the same cause. An authority at Birmingham says that damp feet reduce the resistance lo chills and bronchitis.
