The final round of the men’s championship was played on Saturday between Holmes and Sievers over 8(1 boles, ami after a keen struggle, in which both players played some ex-

cellent holes, was won by the latter, six up ami four to play. Sievers well deserved his laurels as he has been playing a very strong game this season, lie drives a. long ball and plays all his clubs excellently, and as lie is still a comparatively young golfer, should improve his game considerably in the coming- year. As a good many of the members wish In continue playing golf for a few months longer, it is proposed to keep file first nine holes and also “Swamp” and “Mascot” in order, if enough players give their names to the secretary to warrant the expense. Any players going to the links on Saturday will please take a contribution to the afternoon tea.

The final of the ladies 1 championship w ill be played this week between Mrs. Lea and Mrs. F. S. Simcox.
