TE HORO DAIRY CO.
The annual general meeting of the ; Te Horo Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, was held on Friday last, at Te Horo. There was a good attendi ance of shareholders. - J. G. Harkness occupied the chair. In addressing the meeting he stated that the prospects for the coming year appeared to be good, but if there was more employment in England and things were settled on the Continent of Europe the outlook would be even better. The factory building had been painted and the tanks, boiler, machinery' and pliant. Jtad been thoroughly overhauled rand, put in good order. The question of installing a refrigerating plant had been carefully considered by the directors and they had decided that it would not be wise to incur the expense of extension and installation tit the present time. He congratulated the meeting on the high grade that the cheese had obtained, which reflected the greatest credit on the manager of the factory and his assistants, and he said that to get such results it was necessary that every care should be taken of the milk supplied. In presenting the balance-sheet the chairman went fully into the figures explaining the various items of expenditure. The balance-sheet was adopted. Messrs Areas and Pattrick were appointed auditors for tlie coming year. Mr. H. B. Lethbridge was appointed' director, Mr. V. J. Ryder having retired from office. He was accorded a very hearty vote of thanks for the services he had rendered to the company during the time he had been on the directorate (seven years) and regret was expressed at losing him. The manager and staff were thanked ' by resolution for their excellent work. The meeting closed with a vote of I thanks to the chairman. j
