A committee meeting of the Horticultural Society was held on Monday evening when 'there were present: Mr. 11. Witchcli. President sin the chain and Mcsdames Evans, Reynolds, Olliver and Witehell, Misses Yfbiteman and Lee, Messrs Lee. Percival, Reynolds, Wilson, Cuckrell, Jenkins, Rev. G. P. Petrie, and S. Norgrove (secretary). The secretary presented balancesheet of bulb show. which- showed a , considerable deficit. It was resolved! that the various schedule revision com- . mitt cos for the spring show (November loth, 1923) -and autumn show, 10-'-l, report to a meeting to be held on Octob-: cr Ist. The ladies of the committee were appointed to canvas for donations to the special prize funds for the spring and autumn shows. Votes of thanks wore [,a--e.l to Mr. Buckingham and - Mr. H. fool,-, who judged the exhibit-, to Mcsdames Xicolson and Percival (produce stall), Mrs. Reynolds, and Misses Whitemaii and those who assisted them in the tea. rooms, also those who contributed to the tea rooms and produce stall. Mrs. AVitchell handed in a cheque for £1- Ids. the sale of 50 members' ; tickets, which is easily a record sale j bv anv member of the Society.
