The dance, to have been held at the Empire Hall on Thursday, has been postponed till Alonclay ou account of the bowlers’ ball. The debate between the lady members of the Otaki Debating Club and members of the Y.AV.C.A. has been postponed till Monday, August 20th, Messrs McDougall Bros., Ltd., stock all the best and latest in crockery, ironmongery, and groceries. The Uanakau Farmers’ Union Trill hold their annual ball on Tuesday-, August 14th, when music will be supplied by the Bikihana orchestra. A waltzing competition will also be held. Great interest centres in the event.
