FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF TUNNEL i DISASTER. A memorial service was lield in the Y.M.C.A., Arapeti, last Sunday, to the men who lost their lives during the construction of the No. 2 tunnel, Sunday, June 3rd. 1922. Some 140 men and women, representative of the whole works, met together to pay tribute to the men who were killed and to the heroic little hand who gave their lives in attempting a rescue".
