MOLTEN IiBAO VERSUS LEAD WOOD. At the meeting of the Otakr Borough Council yesterday His Worship tin Mayor (Mr .1. i J . Brandon) produced a letter he hud received from the acting engineer to the Wellington City Coun cil (Mr A. .1. Patcrson), in which Mi Patorson completely endorsed the Use of lead wool in preference to molten lead. Mr Brandon stated that this was exceedingly satisfactory in view of the criticisms of the man in the .street, anu, unfortunately, some members of the Council who considered our Engineer (.Mr Davics) should have used molten lead in place of lead wool in colliding the joints.
