A BIG NEW PEOGEAMME
TO-NIGHT. The new change of programme at the Lyric Pictures to-night is one of the best yet presented to an Otaki audience and includes a fine Paramount production. starring Agnes Avres. "The Lane That Had No Turning." tells of the exciting career of it beautiful opera star and is a romance of luxury and intrigue, adapted from the great story by Sir Gilbert Parker. The final chapter of the "Perils of the Yukon" serial will also be screened, and follower- of this thrilling series should not miss the finish. "Iu the Days «f Buffalo Bill" is the title of the new serial which also commences to-night, and no effort or expense has been spared in collecting accurate data and equipment for this big Universal chapter play. Art Accord and an allstar cast appear in this series. A Mack Sennelt comedy. "Let Vr Go" a Burton Holmes Travelogue and the Paramount News complete a very line programme. SATURDAY. "TOO MUCH BUSINESS." One of the funniest comedies of the year is to be found in "Too Much Business," commencing at the Lyric Pictures to-morrow (Saturday). As the word implies, it is a comedy based around the conducting of a large business, in which both men and women are too busy to have any sentiment. Johu Henry Jackson, the hero, believes in making his love affairs strictly b»sines, and in order to have a salary sufficient to support a partner in life he seeks to make it in a day nursery. This introduces a number of children, and provides for many laughs, in this unusual comedy of surprises and novelties. A good supporting programme includes a Snub Pollard Comedy. "Call the Witness," a Eeelcraft Scenic and the ever popular Gaumont Graphic.
