On Wednesday evening last Mr and 3lrs Stan Pepper, relatives and friends, '•'■'ere entertained by the Tainui Ngaoik&j»u natives. The sneering house waa decorated for the occasion, while the tribe's Sag was also hung. Oa each side of the wail were the names of tke bride and bridegroom inswibed with ferns. At eight o'clock the wedded couple and party arrived at the meet-ing-house. where the Natives gave the usual greeting of ‘ tcia-iu&i-te w*.k&, ” etc., headed by their thief, Mr Areka- : fera Te Ha. After this he gave a I -pooch congratulating the bride and ■ bridegroom and welcomed the Pepper family, relative* and friends, and wished all who assembled "Kia Ora." Messrs .Taraes and .Stan Pepper and alto Mr Patteeher fPaliaartton North) responded, after which dancing ooamenced. During the evening song* were rendered by the Tainni girt* and Messrs Wilson and Gray, while, a r»oi dance wa s given, by Mines Hakaraia '2), Taratoa. Tereturu, afld W&Jiac*.
