Mr W. S. Austin, Inspectoi of Tech nical schools in Xew Zealand, was am ong tlie visitors to Otaki yesterday.
.Mr and llrs Askew, of Otaki Railway, leave next month lor England, 01 holiday.
Mr J. K. Bills, who has been for twenty years a member of the Otaki State school committee, was oa Monday night re-elected Chairman.
Captain Bax underwent an operation at the Wellington hospital on Monday, and is reported to be making good progress.
