The carter, the surfaceman, The clerk, the engineer Will work that day for half their pay As they also get. free beer. The water of Otaki Flowing so bright and clear Will bo a stream of lucre As we brew it into beer. Hurray! Hurray! Xo rates to pay And at each year’s end “Just come this wav,’’ the cloak will say, “And get your dividend.”
