A VISIT TO PALMERSTON NORTH. A party of Otaki ladies—enthusiastic croquet player-—jourouyed to J’almerston to witness the tournament now in progress there, and, at the same time glean information regarding municipal greens, there being a move io secure municipal greens in Otaki. It was found that the Palmerston North Borough Council had laid out two acres, on which there were lour croquet greens, four tennis courts, and a, bowling green. The work has been well carried out and the remainder of tin: area planted with hedges, foliage; plants, etc., which help to make the place a highly attractive one.
