On Easter Monday ttic Ohau 'leimis Club held a Yankee Tournament fit the local courts. There was a large attendance, both of local ie.-ifh.nf-, and visitors, who were present from maki and Wellington, amj a very ehjoyahle afternoon was spent, owing to the morning feeing unsettled, play was not commenced until 1 p.m., which allowed for only four out of the nine games originally intended to he got off The winners were Miss K-me Hogg arid .Mr E. R. Deacon, who won all their games. Miss D’Ernden arid Mi 11. J H Paison.son, and Miss Elrna I.eger and Master J. McLeavey, were joint runners-up with three games each. Mternoon tea provided hy tiie ladies of the Club, was dispensed by Misses Olive Entwistle. Elina Eager and Esrne Hogg. in a happy little speech at the conclusion of play, the President of the Club, Mr Clyde Saint, presented the prizes to the winning pair-.
