THE UNITED CLUB. An enthusiastic meeting oI the above was held in the Council Chambers last night, Captain Bax presiding. Father Vi baud was elected as a Vice-President uf the Union, and Messrs J. McGill. L. Hansby anti A. Watts delegates to act with Mr Bowden, who was previously appointed. It was agreed to enter four teams — senior, two juniors, and a third-grade—-for the Horowhenua championship, and to instruct the delegates to endeavour to arrange north and south competitions so as to stive teams travelling' as

much as possible. All players were requested to hand their names to the Secretary by the 9tli inst. so as the strength of the Club could be ascertained. It was decided to hold a seven-aside tournament to-morrow week, teams oI : :.U grades to be drawn from nomine tions received by tliO Secretary. A practice will be held on the Do main to-morrow.

The Union will hold its next meeting on the lQtk inst. Western United (Palmerston North) have been granted permission to play Levin Wanderers to-morrow at Palmerston N. Feilding were granted permission to play Hui Mai (Manakau) at Feilding on April 14. proceeds to be donated to an injured player. Te Horo Juniors v. Hui Mai: —Wells, Clay, Taylor, Puti, Mack.
