A MOTOR TRIP.
BY AN OTAKI PARTY. Mr and Mrs George Noble and Mr and Mrs J. Noble, who have been on a motor trip of the north, have returned to Otaki after three weeks’ absence. Reaving Otaki by car they journeyed to Napier, thence to Wairakei, where wonderful sights were viewed. They passed the famous llukti falls on route. Rotorua was then visited and trips made to various parts of this wonderland. After a four days’ stay the par ty left for Hamilton, thence to Auckland, arid after a pleasant stay in each place returned to the former. They then visited the Wnitomo caves, after which they afterwards left for New Plymouth, but on account of the bad roads returned to le Kuiti, and jouru eyed by train to Mangnwchn, then by car to otaki. The distance covered by car was about 1090 miles, which was accomplished without a single mishap. Roads in places were found almost impassable, and in one place a return trip had to be made. However, the trip was greatly enjoyed, and all speak glowingly,of some of the country passed through. Naturally, all were pleased with the wonderful sights in the thermal regions.
