.Members of the Otaki Choral ruet in the V.W.C.A. room- last night, when some -0 members were present. I Mr I.oury reported that V.J lbs had been 1 received as a result of an appeal sent out. while -Mrs Bill-. Mrs Evans, and j Secretary reported that amounts for I music, subscription-, etc., was £3 ISs • id. making a total of £l3 L'.? 'id. After discussion it was decided to pay the full amount owing to the Otaki Benevolent Fund and 3d per cent, off other I accounts immediately. So ' far about l*i members have responded to the let--1 ters sent out by tin- Committee, whilst i Others had signified their intention of ' contributing. The secretary wanted to hand over the whole of the books to the new secretary, but this course could not be adopted until the question of carrying on with the .Society had been I decided. ' On the motion of Mr Lowry it was j agreed to meet in J 4 days' time .March JTth) to again review the position.
