LYRIC PICTURES.

•ONS WEEK OF LOVE." TONIGHT. In "One Week of Love," which comes to the Lyric Pictures to-night, film patrons of this town arc- in for a wonderful toast of entertainment. The picture is quite the must exciting and impressive piece of work that lias been threatening to explode upon us for weeks. Certainly Myron Selzuick, who produced the picture has never sent us anything quite so enthralling. The story concerns a society girl who suddenly tires of the earth and worldly pleasures, and decides to take a jaunt in an aeroplane. Unfortunately, she flies in the same, spirit that she dances; and when her 'plane accidentally conies down to earth, a lot of her high-falutin ' notions come down with her. Kile lands right in a nest of outlaws, the chief of whom is a sort of Captain Kidd of the mountains. From this point on ' the story is conclusively and totally j absorbing so that one wishes lor an ex-

tra eye to view all the goings-on. Tho Jiirl. far from being :i mechanical doll that docs as it is told, evinces a spirit that is at onee-auduciouss and courageous. Nevertheless, .-lie lias a battle and a hall' on her hands trying to ward off this God 's-conntry Sheik. To ffivu away the story before it has received j the key to our city would lie doing it , a great injustice. Wc can only say thai it is a splendid example of the mo- ■ tion picture ai it.- besl ai'd is its own excuse for being. Skipper Francis, I who composed the sou- "One Week of | Love," accompanies the film and will sins his own composition as a prologue ' to the picture. Supporting items include a Hallroom comedy, "Breaking Into Gaol," the "Blue Fox' - serial,! chapter eleven and the Selznick news. ! The orchestra has been especially augincntd for the presentation of this fine picture, and incidental numbers will be ; rendered. j FRIDAY NIGHT. •'SHELTERED DAUGHTERS." I Jim Dark held the theory that lr • ' daughter should grow to womanhood without contact with the wicked world outside. As :i result, until she was eighteen she had never seen a newspaper. And then one day a young 1"- ; porter came to lodge at Jenny'"' home, and showed her a paper pack'. I with fascinating account- of what was happening in the great world she had never known. That wtis the beginning of a new life for this little sheltered daughter, and many amazing adve.'i-

tures which •■•ill thrill pvery fan sees Justine Johnstone in "Sheltered Daughters" at the Lyric Pictures next Friday. The supports are of the highest standard and arc advertised elsewhere.
