OTAKI SURF CLUB.
J SATURDAY'S CARNIVAL. The Surf Club's carnival, to be held on Saturday next (Si. Patrick's Day) should be splendidly attended, especially if the -weather is favourable. Mr Smith (instructor) is in Otaki and yesterday gave splendid instructions to members of the local Club, and it : - pleasing to know the team did g<»jd ! •work and may erSter for all events. J Visiting teams are expected in full force, while a large contingent of visit- j or,= Trill also grace the beach. A refreshment stall vrill be under the able) supervision of several ladies, while] gn«sing competitions, chain-stepping, j etc.. should plso prove attractions. Thej Otaki Brasi Band will render while in the evening a dance will be held. This should a grand finale to a. successful day's outing.
