APPEAL FOR THE BLIND.

OTAKI RAISES OVER £66.

A meeting of the committee interested in the Sir Arthur Pearson’s memorial fund for the blind m<ft at the Council Chambers on Wednesday afternoon, Mr J. P. Brandon (Mayor) presiding. It was reported that the sum of £6(5 18s had been received, while lists were still to come in from the outside districts. The expenses totalled £9 6s only. Hearty votes of thanks were accorded the collectors, and Air Alorse for his generosity.

It was reported that a concert was being organised at Manakau. It was decided to leave the subscrip- ! ion lists open for those who had not given.
