OTAKI SURF CLUB.

Several ladies are interesting themselves in the Surf Club's carnival to be held on the 17th. and lasi evening a number met at Mrs Evans- residence and made arrangements for laising funds. it was decided to sell light refreshments, including cordials, at the beach, and to dispose of sweets al piclure displays. Mr Morse having given permission. Mrs Eddy was appointed chairwoman. Mrs Evans secretary, .and Mesdames h'ddy, L. Kitmisin, Wilson. Evans, and XieuUm a committee. It wa- also agreed to have competitions, such as nail-driving and guessing, and to hold a dance in the evening, gents to be charged 2s 'id. ladies Is lid, and double 3s <id. Donations of cakes, sweets, etc., for the carnival will be gratefully accepted.
