A FATAL CORN CURE. BATHED i'EJET IN BENZINE. Before retiring one evening recently, Mr:- Rebecca Allan, house-keeper of the rmgie men’s quarters at Culiinlaringo station, New .South Wales, bathed her feet in benzine as & cure for corns and tired feet. She walked into her bedroom, struck a match to light the candle, when her clothing ignite'). The woman's screams attracted the attention of an employee, who unsuccessfully attempted to extinguish the flames with his hands. While he went for a rug the burning woman ran round the house screaming for help, and another employee went to her assistance and threw a blanket round her. The flames were extinguished, but not before the woman was burned practically al) over the body, only her head, face’ a’nd feet being untouched. She died the fob lotting afternoon.
