o COMMITTEE MEETING. A meeting of the committee of the above Club was hc-hl in the Borough Council Chambers last night. Present: Messrs J. P. Brandon. President, (in the chair), Wills, Cottereß, Evan-. Heuld. Coekrc-ll and Mosley (secretary;. It was decided to hold the annual carnival on -bl . Patrick 's Day (March Jv ; and to hold another meeting next Thursday to make further arrangements. Mr G. Evans, at one time captain of the Island Bay Surf Club, was elected deputy-captain, while Air EIleaid. late of the Castleclifi' Club) was elected to the vacancy on the committee, caused by the retirement of Mr E. Hopkins. It was decided to make an endeavour to raise £2O towards necessary trophies and expenses, and agreed to hold a practice at the beach on Sunday next at 2 o'clock sharp- Costumes are now procurable, ami may be obtained trorn the Se-cretarr at the beach.
