Evans, at one time captain of the Island Bay Surf Club, was elected deputy-captain, while Air EIleaid. late of the Castleclifi' Club) was elected to the vacancy on the committee, caused by the retirement of Mr E. Hopkins. It was decided to make an endeavour to raise £2O towards necessary trophies and expenses, and agreed to hold a practice at the beach on Sunday next at 2 o'clock sharp- Costumes are now procurable, ami may be obtained trorn the Se-cretarr at the beach.
