PORIRUA COLLEGE TRUST

I VISIT TO OTAKI. Four trustees of the Porirua College Trust visited tOaki on Wednesday, accompanied by Mr Dyett, of Messrs I Slndden, Pnvitt, and Dyett, Civil Engineers, Wellington. The objects of

the visit was to inspect the proposed site for a septic tank and line of drain, which goes through the Board's property. The party was met by the Mayor. Works' Committee, and Engineer. The ground was inspected and the matter fully discussed. After lunch Mi Dyett and the Borough Engineer were

deputed to go into the relative costs of the various suggestionsy made, and report to the other members at 3.30 p.m. Mr Dyett finally reported to the Trustees that to alter the site would be so costly that the scheme might be prohibitive. Mr Wilberforce would report to the next meeting of the Trustees that whilst they would have liked a different site, on the advice of their engineer. that alteration would be costly, no difficulties would lie placed in the Council's way. The party left for Wellington by the New Plymouth train.
