The annual breaking up ceremony and presentation ol prizes and certificates. in connection with the Paruparaj uiiiu school was held on Thursday. , Prior to the prize distribution the children were entertained at the ‘Fish Pond,’ where every youngster tried bis luck with the ilsliing rod. M.r R. Maclean, chairman of the School Committee. congratulated the pupils and teachers on the line work of the school and on the excellent results achieved. 1 kit-ty-four good attendance certificates • were awarded, and in addition to the certilicate each child received a book prize, presented by Mr L. 1. White, formerly of Pa rape, ran mu school, and now of Terrace school, Wellington, is with his family camping at the beach.
