RIKIORANGI SCHOOL.
A MATINEE. Owing to the inclement weather on Saturday. 9th, and the consequent disappointment of a linmber of parents and children, by special request, the school concert was repeated on Thursday afternoon, when the whole of the performers .were present. The items were as previously .reported (with the exception of Mr Bath'.' lantern slides). Among the vocalists Mrs 'H. Meyer pleased the audience with a fine rendering of "Killarney," atd Mr Howard contributed "Mandalay." Community ringing was introduced for the first time is Bikiorangi ana proved a great success. The children 'e dialogues, "A Warm Day." "Fishing," and "A Xew Use for Peddlers" went without a hitch, among the ■ best ' performers bc-irg Miss Alma Klelseij. Master Theo Meyer, and Miss Doris Mallear.' Ms»"G. Heggie again officiate! efficiently at the piano. Afternoon tea was efterwardi, provided by *he pupils, and ac impromptu dance among the latter brought a tiei-iinj wind-op to the year's work.
