lIAUTERE DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB.
The Hautore RiflejClub fired at 50 yards on Saturday in the second roum of the Belt competition. The weathe was good for shooting. Rflm. F. Bes put on a very creditable shoot of 4S possible 50. Next Saturday the shooi will be at 600 yards. Scores:— 500 yds. Rflm. F. Best 48 ~ D. Mackersey 44 „ A. Thomson 43 „ H. Lumsdcn 43 „ A. Butt 43 „ G. Hayward 40 „ A. Beauchamp 3S „ R. Duncan 36 „ V. Cottle 35 „ P. Guy 33 NGATIAWA CLUB. The Ngatiawa Rifle Club shot for a ropliy donated by the Misses Mownay, “Convalescent Home,’’ on Saturlay, which was won by a promising r ouitg shot, Rifleman K. Bishop. The aiigc-s were SCO and 600 yards, seven hots at each. The conditions at 600 ■arils were very trying, and had most f the marksmen in trouble.
