TENNIS.
Very keen interest is being taken m tennis this year, and Saturday afternoon being very favourable, a very enjoyable time was spent, and some hard fought matches took place. In view of the competitions, arranged by the association between country clubs, the committee is anxious for players to play as many ladder matches as possible so there will be no difficulty in selecting the. very best team. Next Saturday the (ir.-t of the series of matches takes place. Levin are drawn to play Otaki at Otaki. and the following players are requested to get in as much practice during the week as possible:-Dr. Atmore. Miss Bennett, Miss Quill. Miss Brandon. Miss M. Bennett, and Miss O'Rourke. Men: ktmore, Sievers, Takiwi. Bennett, S. Sinicox. E. P. Simcox, and Mclntyre. The team is to consist of six men and four ladies, and the following players are requested to play off during the week for places: Bennett v. P. Tahiw., Miss M. Bennett v. Miss Quill. Miss Brandon v. Miss O'Rourke.
