OTAKI COMMUNITY CLUB

The characters were taken by Miss Joan Lowry (Madge Brooks, a beauty specialist). Miss Erica Xeilson (Katie, her assistant). Miss Joan I'ercival (Miss Gray, a would-be actress). Miss Beatrice Koall (Mrs Bumpus, very fleshy), Mrs Kenipton, Patrick McGee). Miss Maude Elderton (Mrs ‘Patrick McGee). The general get-up of those taking part was splendid, while all acted admirably, great amusement being caused to those present. Mrs Sargisson is deserving of the greatest credit for coaching the girls. Those who took part, together with Mrs Sargisson, also gave elocutionary items which were equally appreciated. The entertainment closed with a community sing, Miss Lowry leading. During the evening Miss Lee presented Mrs Kemp* ton with a nicely-arranged bouquet. while Mrs Percival supplied light refreshment.
