OBITUARY,.
ME CHARLES EDWARD GOODING. Tire death occurred on Wednesday afternoon of Mr Charles Edward Gooding, oldest son of Mr Charles Gooding, of Otaki. Deceased, who was 53 years of age and unmarried, had been in indifferent health for some years, having been kicked in the stomach by a horse several years ago, from which he never properly recovered. He came from the Taranaki district, where he had resided for some years, to Otaki about a month ago, taking up residence with his father. Despite attention ho passed away as above stated, leaving behind a sorrowing father, and several brothers and sisters, including slr Sidney Gooding (Eketahuna), Mr Bruce Gooding (Kunieu. North Auckland), Mr W. Gooding (Palmerston N.), Mrs C. Crabbe (Otaki), Mrs Dunn (Otaki), Mrs Palmer (Ivaiwarra). Deceased, who was highly respected, was born and educated at Tauhcrcnikau. Much sympathy is felt for Mr Gooding and relatives, they having suffered several bereavements during the past year or so. The funeral took place this afternoon. when an impressive ceremony was conducted by the Rev. G. E. Petrie, M.A. Several lovely floral tributes were placed on the coffin.
