GENERAL ELECTIONS.
On Saturday evening Mr Harknesthe Independent Reform candidate, ad dressed the electors at Muhunoa East Mr A. Evans was iri the chair. Th candidate spoke on the lines of his pre vious addresses arid was accorded : good reception. All present promiseto support the candidate and offercthe use of their motor ears on elc-ctio:
Air Harkness will address the electors in Otaki on Tuesday. Novembei 2S. Mr G. H. M. McClure, Liberal-Labour candidate for Otaki, gave a stirring address at M&ngkau on Monday evening Air R. Creed presiding. There was a record attendance, and the speaker was accorded P- most sympathetic hearing. He spoke on the same line-: as at previous places, and severely criticised the extravagance of the Government. At the conclusion of his interesting adT - : - was accorded a very hearty vote of thanks. An endeavour is being made to secure a labour candidate for the Otaki seat. Mr W. H. Field. M.P.. will address electors at Levin to-morrow night. Air W. H. Field, M.P., Reform candidate for the Otaki seat, addressed a largelv-attended meeting in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Trentham. last night. Air W. H. P. Barber presided. The candidate received a unanimous vot r * or thanks and confidence.
