The monthly meeting of the Otaki State School committee takes place on Monday night. -Mr Field, M.P., will address the electors. of Te Horo to-morrow at 8 p.ni. S.M., referred to the fac-f and took exception to anyone making such an application. He did j not mind holding over a ease rill the list had been completed, but be was not going to hang round and miss his Traill for any such applicant. Further, clients should find out how much business There was to transact before making an application. Mr Stavek-y, solicitor in the case, agreed, and applied for judgment, but this the S.II. dec-lin-ed to give, preferring on this occasion to adjourn the case till next Court day. Irvine has bought the whole of McDougall Bros’, stock of boots and she 03, they having decided to give up this branch of their business. The sale of building timber on behalf of Mr N. Campbell, has been postponed till Tuesday next at 1.30. Messrs Joplin and Co. will sell a quantity of prime meat, etc., at 10 a.m. to-morrow. Mr L. St. George, chemist, advertises several useful lines, such us soaps, shampoos, dyes, etc. Messrs Howard Andrew, Ltd., advertises several farmers’ lines for sale. See advertisement on our front page. An opportunity to buy up-to-date fireworks for Guy Fawkes’ Day is given by Messrs Truelight and Co., who have on hand a splendid assortment. Mr IV. H. Field. An auction sale of horses, dairy and store cattle, and potato digger, planter, grader and sprayer (suitable for Otaki market gardeners) will be conducted by Messrs A. E. Carver and Co. at Mr J. V. Dyke’s yards, Main Road, Upper Hutt, on Thursday, November oth at 1 p.m. The opportunity to buy the above should not be missed.
