Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report that at their Levin stock sale on Tuesday last they offered a small yarding of sheep and a good yarding of cattle. A good clearance was effected; the principal prices being as under: —Romney ewe hoggets, 32s Od; fat cow.., £ I Ss; empty heifers, £4; springing cows, £7; yearling heifers, £2 7s; half-draught mare, £l6 lbs. At Waikauae on Wednesday a fair yarding of cattle came forward and a total clearance was effected. Quotations: —I-’at bullocks, £7; forward bullocks, £5 4s; springing heifers, £5 7s 6d; 2 and 3-year steers, £3 10s. At Upper Hutt on Thursday a fair yarding of cattle came forward, and a good clearance was effected. Quotations: —Springing cows to £10; cows in milk to £3 10s; store cows, £2 11s to £3; springing heifers, £4 3s to £5 10s; yearling Hereford shorthorn and steers, £2 11s.
